L.art VIENNA presents in its 1st exhibition the artists FRENZI RIGLING and LINDA BERGER.
In her artistic feminist works, Frenzi Rigling deals with socio-political issues and the connection between chance and myth and the dimension of temporality. The processual aspect is just as important as the end product. Frenzi Rigling has long been concerned with textiles - with their feminine connotations - and with texts, or rather with the spaces in between texts. Frenzi Rigling is represented in all important collections such as the Belvedere or the Lentos. Most recently, the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich dedicated a solo exhibition to her in 2023 under the curatorship of Gerda Ridler.
In her often large-format drawings, Linda Berger seems to capture calm in a time of acceleration and virtually capture time. You can lose yourself in swarming movements that leave the viewer feeling calm. She uses fine, dense ink strokes to capture traces or scars, turbulence and movement. This creates supposed landscapes which, depending on the color scheme, evoke associations with landscapes at different times of the year or a glimpse into the macrocosm.
