About Caroline Peters

Caroline Peters was engaged by Andrea Breth at the Berlin Schaubühne already during her final year of studies. Engagements at all of the important German-language theaters followed. She has performed at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Cologne and Zurich, the Berlin Volksbühne and the Burgtheater in Vienna, where she has been a member of the ensemble since 2004. The actress is a master of timing, effortlessly changing from sensitive observations to furious performances. The press values her remarkable and precise performances, with which she moves expressively between genres in her roles. They testify to a pronounced feeling and sensitive intelligence for the ambivalent motivations of her characters. Her fast-paced, on-the-spot, and intelligent portrayals of human motives have made her a much sought-after actress in film and theater and have been awarded many honors, including the Adolf Grimme Prize, the Bavarian Television Prize, and the Ulrich Wildgruber Prize. In theater, her collaborations with Barbara Frey, Dimiter Gotscheff, Karin Beier, Luc Bondy, Nicolas Stemann and René Pollesch, in film, with Adolf Winkelmann, Arne Feldhusen, Dieter Wedel and Isabel Kleefeld, as well as her leading role in the hit series 'Mord mit Aussicht' (Murder with a View) are what have brought her to a wide audience. Caroline Peters was honored with the German Actor Award 2016 as 'Best Actress in a Comedic Role' and in 2018 with the prestigious Nestroy Award for her outstanding acting performance. She has been named 'Theater Actor 2016' and 'Theater Actor 2018' by the renowned trade journal Theater heute. (Text © Agentur www.jozopr.com)
