Andrea Bischof is one of the most important contemporary artists in Austria and has made a name for herself especially through her subtlety of color and the great balance of her compositions. Her painting is a coloristic feast for the eyes. She achieves this in a patient, month-long process by placing luminous tones next to and on top of each other, which leads to their mutual enhancement and to full-toned chords through optical color mixing. In this way, she succeeds in creating works that lead to touching events.
