Laura Nitsche studied at the Academy of Fine Arts at the class of Gunther Damisch and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
In her works, the artist questions how people live together, their responsibility to each other and to the environment in which they live. In a previous series, she dealt with the topic of the environment and resources in which she collected carelessly discarded shopping lists and transferred their purchase into the present like a historical image. In 2022, Hirmer Verlag published the book “Kaffeemilch Kaffee Kekse Topfen Marillen. A tribute to the shopping list”.
In the new series “Second Life”, old slides from the 1960s become the image of a generation and thus, looking back, unmistakable and clearly locatable historical representations.
