Olga Georgieva 1986

Olga Georgieva studied at the University of Applied Arts with Prof. Jan Svenungsson. Diploma in 2012 with distinction.

In her works Olga Georgieva reflects on interpersonal relationships. Known but especially unknown people are depicted and tell their story and sometimes the story of the artist herself. The color red symbolizes the connection and the separation of the depicted people. But it also stands for the private space that each of us builds around himself. The red symbolizes furthermore the law of the reason and becomes then in consequence the sign of the border created by the respective individual itself to the world and the others. She says: "It could be that we all live within the boundaries of a regime that is invisible for the time being - our own created by the laws of our reason."
